This real estate auction will have no minimum bids and no reserve price set. Situated on 14.5 acres, this beautiful Property is just 15 minutes from both the natural beauty of Okanagan Lake and the dynamic atmosphere of downtown Kelowna. The serene, gated estate was built to take advantage of the mild weather and impressive vistas of the region, and many rooms within the nearly 10,000 sf structure open to the outdoors.

It is rare in its size, privacy and vantage point – truly one of a kind.,” said Alex Lambert, CEO of The Garage Sale Luxury Auction House. “I have lived here now ten years, and the growth of the Okanagan is exciting for businesses and real estate investors alike – it’s a dynamic and exciting place that also offers some of the best recreation and quality of living found anywhere in the world,” adds Lambert.

The Community

KELOWNA, B.C. Located in the southern interior of British Columbia, Kelowna is the third-largest metropolitan area in the province and is home to the head office of the Regional District of Central Okanagan. Named in 1892 after the local word for “grizzly bears,” the province was first populated over 9,000 years ago by the native Syilx, who continue to live in the region to this day.

A humid, continental climate makes Kelowna relatively mild when compared to Canada as a whole, with average lows near 26 degrees F (-3 degrees C) in the winter and hot, dry summers where temps can sometimes exceed 90 degrees F (32 degrees C). The average year-round high temperature is approx. 55 degrees F (14 degrees C), one of the highest Canada.

Much of the city is located around Okanagan Lake, a 135 km-long by 4-5 km-wide body of water in B.C.’s Okanagan Valley. The lakeside landscape is known for its terraces – a characteristic for which the broader Okanagan is known – which often feature beautiful fruit orchards. The shores of Okanagan Lake are also home to many parks and beaches. Boating and water sports are popular activities in residential lakefront areas, especially during the warmest months of the year.

Once just a summer tourist destination, Kelowna is rapidly evolving, and is one of the fastest-growing cities in Canada. It was also ranked as the top entrepreneurial city in Canada in 2016. The city seems poised to become a center of British Columbia, and is upgrading infrastructure accordingly: the international airport, hospital, colleges and universities have all seen significant expansion in recent years. These amenities provide economic security, opportunity and recreation for residents who choose to call the vibrant young city home.

The Location

BRITISH COLUMBIA, CA. The westernmost province of Canada, British Columbia has a population of more than four million and is the fifth largest province in Canada by total area. Though the First Nations (the native people of Canada south of the Arctic) have inhabited the land for over 10,000 years, the first modern settlement occurred in 1843 at Fort Victoria on Vancouver Island, giving rise to the city of Victoria, which is still the capital of the province.

A gold rush in the late 1850’s drew many settlers to the region, and growth continued at a rapid pace to the current day. In fact, the first quarter of 2016 brought the largest number of interprovincial migrants in the country to British Columbia. In addition, the province was a major destination for many immigrants from Hong Kong prior to that colony’s return to China in 1997.

Modern British Columbia is powered by tourism, due in part to the climate, which is mild enough to encourage four seasons of outdoor activities such as water sports, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, mountaineering, hunting and fishing. The region’s spectacular scenery and dramatic views, however, are the primary draw for tourists, and are the genesis of a service industry that provides jobs to 72% of residents.

While there is little arable land in British Columbia, but the land that is farmable is very fertile, especially in the region surrounding Okanagan Lake, where orchards of apples and cherries and acres of wine grapes grow. Seven of Canada’s thirty-nine national parks are located in the province, and many animals that have become rare in the United States thrive here.
